Trail Information

Highlights

An easy connector trail. 2N09 is a quick way back to Holcomb Valley. Just be warned, in the snow the trail ices over in the shady areas, and the rain brings long, deep, slick mud holes.

Easy trail up into Holcomb Valley or down into Fawnskin. Still some ice ruts about 6-8 inches deep towards the top. Wouldn't want to deal with any passing traffic there. Going down is a much better direction as the views are beautiful. .

Easy dirt connector road but I enjoyed the drive. Wide open in most places and easy to pass. Nice way to see the changing colors of fall and some nice vistas of the mountains in the distance. Nice views of the lake at the end of the trail. Some shallow mud holes this time of year, should be passable by everyone until the harsher weather hits. Ends kind of suddenly at the road in Fawnskin so I had to turn around to find somewhere to air the tires back up, there didn't seem to be a great pull-off place closer to the road.

Easy trail that appears to be crushed granite? It is a good forest re-entry point after going into town. There was a RWD BMW 4 Series on the trail...any 2wd pick up or SUV can do it.
