Fern Creek

If rolling whoop-die-doos are your thing you will find what you are looking for on this trail. The majority of this washed out road is packed dirt but you will find the occasional rocky spot. Some interesting boulder formations can be seen on both sides of the trail, there is even a neat spot where a large boulder straddles Fern Creek. This route can be used as a quick connection route between West and Central Rampart Range area. Sitting in a cool lush gulch in the Pike National Forest, this trail is a great scenic connector for a multi-trail day trip in the Rampart Range area.
