Sevenmile Rim (01/27/2023)
We decided this would be a good trail to run near Moab with snow on the ground, and our judgement may have been off. Although we made it without incident, the steep downhill slick rock before Uranium arch was sketchy. The off camber section was free of snow but still terrifying when viewed from a distance. Once on the obstacle it wasn’t too bad. Overall a nice moderate trail with some great views!
Red and White Mountain (10/17/2022)
The best trail in the Vail area. There is a lot to be explored and many good campsites that are not listed here, thankfully. A stock vehicle with good clearance can tackle this with no issue. For more of a challenge check out FSR 779.
Hey Joe Canyon (10/09/2022)
As of 10/9/22 there was a large boulder in the middle of the trail from a recent rock slide a couple miles in. Some UTVs were able to stack enough rocks to make it over but many of them were having to winch. It’s going to be very tough for full size vehicles. Didn’t see any Jeeps attempting it, even very built rigs were turning around.
Benson Cabin (10/07/2022)
Easily the least scenic trail in the area but it does have some challenges that make it worth running. Just wouldn’t come highly recommended…5 stars should be reserved for truly 5 star trails!
