Forest Service Road 333

A nice trail for a ride through the woods. Swinging bridge is a definite must do. Trail is not too technical with only a handful of muddy spots that aren’t very deep. There was a tree partially blocking the trail but easily managed to drive around it.

Fun little trail. Went during a lot of rain and still easily doable in a lifted GX470 on 33's. If you're coming in from the western trailhead be aware the people who live on the road that connects to where the green sign/start is have put up a large white "PRIVATE DRIVE" sign. I tried to start there and ended up taking roads to the eastern trailhead and did it that way because I was unsure. I went all the way through without issue so as far as I can tell their sign isn't actually true as it appears to be a public road that connects to FS 333. Obviously they are not happy about the traffic coming through there, so please be respectful and quiet

This was a pretty fun and easy trail in my 4runner on 35s. I never needed 4wd and I think most high clearance 2wd vehicles could make it through especially picking the right line. Definitely worth checking out, also go to the swinging bridge.

Bridge… there is a bridge at the start of this trail. I don’t recall reading that and so it threw me off but once I crossed it the trail unfolded exactly as described. Fun ride, and swinging bridge is worth the short hike. I did trail in a 2021 JLU Rubicon that is stock except for 35” tires. We’d had 2 days of heavy rain but despite that I probably could have done entire run in 2WD. Just a couple muddy patches but no real issues.

This is a very fun FS road. There's a tree partially blocking the trail a little bit past waypoint 7. It looks too narrow to get through but I made it through in my silverado with no issues.

Took trip to trail to find it closed. (2/4/21) Not sure of length of closure. John Dick Creek Road to the left was open.

Took the trail yesterday(1.2.21) and had a great time! Ran through turned around and came back. It was a bit muddy in spots and used 4WD only once for a short time. Took the short hike down to the bridge and let the pups play in the river for a bit. Took two spurs found some great camping spots and the trail was fun too. Trees that wee down have been cleared. on the way out took the left trail before the water crossing and the a spur off of that. Great clearing at the end, again let the pups play and run for a bit. Headed out about 5 and took rock creek to Winding Stair to Nimblewill Church and home. I highly recommend a trip here, but give yourself time there are a lot of trails in the area. I will be back to explore the others...(I'll post a video of one of the spurs and a picture later)

Great trail, however a large tree fell across the trail making it impassable.

This was a fantastic trail that is accessed from the easy Rock Creek Road. It is a through road, and although at first it may seem tame, beware of the last section! Very technical and fun section at the end. Did it Sunday of Memorial weekend 2020 and it was probably the most challenging trail section I have done solo in my stock height 2020 Outback, and it was little nerve-racking but very rewarding. Highly recommend!!

Relatively easy trail. Only put it into 4H a couple of times, more for GP than out of necessity. Getting out was a little tricky as the map ends and doesn’t tell you how to get out and where it ends there is no place to turn around. Fortunately, the Nav on the Jeep showed the way, however, the way out was REALLY tight with brush overgrown so the road was more narrow than the vehicle and there were parts where we weren’t sure if we were still on the trail or just following a washout. A beautiful afternoon drive!.

Fun trail, especially from the swinging bridge to Old Rock Creek Rd. Very manageable in our lifted 4Runner. There were a few muddy spots that we ran with 4 wheel drive engaged. High clearance is definitely recommended on the lower elevation (Eastern) section. The swinging bridge is a short but fairly steep hike down and while we didn't see any other vehicles on FSR-333, there were about 25-30 people hanging out by the bridge (Saturday).

Daughter and I visited this trail today. Quite fun. No issues in a stock 2017 Nissan Titan 4x4. As others stated, toward the end was the only place 4wd was needed. Red clay mud and ruts in a section at the end was interesting...very narrow with dirt walls on both sides to bang into if you get squirrely. It was an enjoyable time for sure.

Love this little trail. The damaged section before the swinging bridge has been repaired making this trail in pretty good shape up to Waypoint 7. From Waypoint 7 to Western Trailhead is 4x4 only in all conditions.

After 2 days of rain this road had plenty of mud pits to run through. I did use 4x4 in several sections. In fact there is no need to turn around on this road. You can drive it all the way through and come out on Doublehead Gap road. You just have to ride past a few sketchy backwoods hillbilly compounds on the northern end. I had to get out and move some med. size branches from the windstorm. Has some more aggressive rock and road ruts the farther you get past the swinging bridge pull off. Overall was a fun road.

This trail should not be 3-5 difficult,more like a 1-2 ,yes some mud puddles and a small stream,5 days prior it rained for 36hrs. 2019 ZR2 two wheel drive only,was expecting more. Trail description and way points was extremely right on and easy to follow.

Nice ride accessible to any stock 4x4. A few bumps and ruts, and a little mud near the end, but it was a 2wd ride all the way today.

Everything listed here was spot on. Not a challenging trail for a stock Jeep & could even go around any wash outs if ya wanted. If it has rained, it would be a lot more of a challenge. The swing bridge in the middle was a great break for the kids. If you’re looking for a few bumps, a puddle or two & good hikes, this trail is perfect. Even enjoyed the roads to get to the trail head.

This trail is in bad shape right now, even before the Toccoa Swinging Bridge (waypoint 7 and 8). 4x4 recommended under all conditions. Still a beautiful and fun ride, just not suitable for passenger cars anymore.

Took a ride down here today after some rains, some muddy spots, not too bad. Road in great shape from the eastern trailhead to the swinging bridge, but gets pretty rough after that. 4x4 strongly recommended in wet conditions, ground clearance mandatory.
