I was born in a farming town just east of Dayton Ohio in the mid 1970s. My first experiences offroading started at a very young age on our family farm where I spent much of the first half of my life. My dad purchased a 1980 Honda XR 80 for me that I rode all over our farm and my grandfather's farm. In 1983 my grandfather purchased a new Honda ATC Big Red to use around his farm and for the grand kids to ride. About a year later my father purchased a Big Red as well. Over the years I had many different dirt bikes and ATVs. By the time I graduated high school in the Atlanta area in the mid 90s, I had participated in a few motocross races. During college and the first ten years after college, my offroading passion went on hiatus and my interests turned toward muscle cars. I did some amateur drag racing, autocross and later some track events. When my daughter came along in the early 2000s, I decided to sell my modded WS6 Trans Am and buy a 99 Jeep Grand Cherokee... for the family of course! From 2007 to 2014 I was heavily into the Jeep scene around Atlanta. I had a couple of XJs and built a JKUR on 37s that I four wheeled at most of the major parks around the Southeast, Tellico, Harlan, Wind Rock, River Rock, Chocolocco, Mountainside, Gulches and just about everywhere in between. In the summer of 2014, we took a 10 day work trip/vacation to Denver and Colorado springs. One of the days of our trip, we decided to rent an ATV and a SXS and do some exploring out in the Texas Creek area. I had never driven a SXS before. From the moment I blasted up my first Colorado trail on the Rhino we rented, I was hooked on the SXS and Colorado. As fate would have it, at the end of the summer of 2014, I was offered an opportunity to relocate with my job from Atlanta to Denver (Parker) Colorado. We jumped at the opportunity. After settling in to Colorado, we purchased two Polaris RZRs in the spring of 2015, one for me and one for my wife. I kept my Rubicon around and did two trips to Moab with it and various trails outside of Denver before deciding it was sitting in the garage way too much. I found when given the choice, I would take the RZRs out over the Jeep every time. In the spring of 2018 I sold my JK to focus on my RZRs. I've owned five RZRs up to now (July 2018) and my current rig is a 2016 RZR 1000 XP. Since moving to Colorado I've been to Moab six times, Taylor Park twice and most of the trail systems within a couple of hours of Denver multiple times. I love to camp with my family, hike, offroad and explore the beautiful state of Colorado. I'm also known to drink a few beers by the camp fire and tell some tall rock tales!
