Highlights

SOB Hill is a great off-road trail that is a more difficult bypass of the west side of Georgia Pass. It takes you up a steep hillside with a large section of boulders formally known as SOB Hill, giving this trail its name. This route is also referred to as Trail 10 but due to the nature of the obstacles as the trail grew in popularity the name changed. After the challenge, you continue climbing up the Continental Divide's west side until you reach the peak of Georgia Pass. We ended going down by accident really. From top of Georgia Pass we took glacier ridge. Even our funtreks book had little info on glacier ridge. We ended up at top of SOB hill. Going down is a lot easier of course but our 16 year old daughter was driving for her first time. Careful spotting and she did awesome. I wish trails offroad would add glacier ridge to the system.

Trail is free and clear of all snow. Most of the trail is fairly easy actually with only the "Rocky Hill/SOB Hill" climb being tough. If you are lifted and have lockers and can pick a good line, it is not difficult and would rate a 6. Stock vehicles should not attempt this section unless you are protected and have a winch. Otherwise, take the bypass. If this section is wet it would be a 7 for sure. I will add there is a spot between WP8/9 that is a tight, off camber section between trees. Be careful here as it is super tight. Easiest and best to just take this quick bypass on the left. Great views at WP 11 and WP 12 (turn off to Continental Divide). Would def recommend this trail for something more challenging and great views for a payoff.
