I live in So. Cal. and love the Square Body Chevy trucks, as seen with my 89 K5. I work for a medical device manufacturer in Orange County, CA for the IT department and previously worked in Supply Chain for much of my "adult" life. I do most of the work on my K5 myself to know my way around and have learned much about the vehicle and fabrication skills along the way. I upped my "game" with a one ton axle swap recently as I'm going on more and more difficult trails. I'm into amateur radio for the off-road hobby, but really got into the hobby further than just offroad via digital communicaitons and looking to upgrade my license to Extra this year. call: K5LFE (vanity) Be well!

While big, I love the full size "square body" Chevys and the versatility of these trucks. 1989 K5 Blazer. Axle Swap recently completed with Dana 60 front and 14b Full Float rear with a TMR Customs shave kit. Deaver custom springs with a DIY4X B-52 kit front and ORD shackle flip rear. JE Reel drive shafts with an Off Road Design (ORD) slip yoke eliminator. Front hydro assist with cross over and high steering from DIY4X. Bumpers from DIY4X and custom built sliders and tire carrier by myself as additions. Full roll cage, Softopper, Ham radio and Rugged Radios intercom round out some add ins. See you on the trails!

2003 Chevrolet Suburban

Lift Size: Stock
Tire Size: 30"
The old "tow pig" is sitting in storage and getting dirty. Relaxing next to a couple Blue Birds in mid conversion, I cant decide if I'm going to do a solid axle swap and wheel this beast or drop this slightly built motor and trans into my K5... decisions-decisions...
