3N12 is a cool little cut over that passes through the dense forest of Holcomb Valley. The trail eventually drops you directly in Holcomb Valley Farm on the north end. Many people use 3N12 as a nice trail drive when visiting the area since the amazing forest views and a path all 4x4's can traverse.

Normally a very easy trail, in winter it can be a little sketchy because its on the shady side of the mountain. Today it was sketchy. Luckily it was warming up, about 45 degrees, and the ice was manageable. Only a few "bobsled" sensations in the shady areas. Ruts were as deep as about a foot in places. Really beautiful trail however in the snow. 4x speed to shorten video.

Fun twisty little trail without any major challenges in a high-clearance vehicle. A few single-lane areas that required backing up to allow others to pass, but not bad. The trail rating is correct but like most, would vary with the season. Quite a few water/mud holes during my run that might put off low-clearance vehicles depending on driver skill level. Minor shelf roads here and there. A few just-off-the-road camp spots along the way. Otherwise easy and enjoyable drive.

Easy trail that kept us in the forest. The payoff is getting to Holcomb.
