Live in San Diego and try to do one major trip each month. Have loved the outdoors since I was a boy scout and wheeling allows me to get places that I otherwise wouldn't be able to reach. Favorite local trips are the border areas near Jacumba north and south of I-8, the Warner Springs area, and Santa Rosa Mountains. Am an avid fan of Death Valley and over 6 trips have done most of the well-known trails and some of the less well-known ones as well in the Inyo and Panamint Mountains.
