New River Canyon (11/19/2022)
At the start of the trail, there was a large dirt parking lot of trucks and trailers for side-by-sides, but the trail was quiet. There was no water flowing. I would rate this trail a 4. The final obstacle would be a 6-8, but it has a bypass. Enjoyable ride so close to the city! Stopped for lunch in Cave Creek at one of our old favorites El Encanto.
Schnebly Hill Road (11/16/2022)
Amazing views of the red rock mountains around Sedona make this bumpy trail worth while.
Crown King Road (11/15/2022)
Took the trail up to Crown King and then on to Senator Highway on the way to Prescott. Peacefull drive on a simple dirt road. The views of were impressive as you get up the mountain and when you get up to Crown King there are pine trees. The plan was to have lunch at the Crown King Saloon a historic bar (https://crownkingsaloon.com/). While online it says it's open each day currently it is closed on Tuesdays. There is another restaurant that had decent burgers and beer on tap with ice cold mugs. Next time I am going to call to make sure the saloon is open. Also, I was told to check out the general store as they are known for thier fudge. On the weekends I've heard it can be hard to find a place to park.
Senator Highway (11/15/2022)
The locals in Crown King shared that there had been some issues with the road following the fire and additional runoff. There is a spot or two that I would rate a 2/3. This trail makes for a long day, but I felt like it was worth it considering you can explore Crown King and Prescott.
