After retiring in 2009, my wife, Tina, and I discovered Utah and after visiting the usual tourist attractions, in my wife’s Buick, we found Moab. And, after renting a Jeep and exploring a couple of trails, we were hooked. The Buick had to go, so naturally we traded it off for a Ford Raptor. However, my first “car” was a 1947 Willys, that my Grandfather gave me when I was 14, so having a history with that Jeep and the Raptor being just too wide for the Utah Jeep trails, we got a 2016 JKU Rubicon . We are mature, i.e. OLD, off-roaders and our current 2019 JLU Rubicon works great for the easy to moderate trails we enjoy. The scenery and remoteness are what bring us back, every spring and fall, to Utah.
