5S06 - Old Control Road (12/27/2022)
This is a great trail, took our Defender up it. Great scenic views from a few of the shelf portions, and some of the ruts are getting pretty deep so it the stayed interesting. Took just under an hour to run with a few stops for photos. Some of the deeper ruts look like they’ll continue to get worse, so while right now I’d say 2 is spot on, the coming week of rain and the rest of this winters weather might bump a couple spots up a tiny bit.
3N16 - Holcomb Valley (12/12/2022)
Drove this in the snow. ~4" of snow on the East end and about 10" on the Western part. A few really deep ruts in the snow drifts on the Western part of the trail took a bit of planning to get around.
2N02 - Burns Canyon (12/12/2022)
Ran this in a few inches of snow, East to West, and I could see a few parts being a bit slippery if the snow was deeper. A few shelf sections that combined with the snow kept it an interesting drive throughout.
2N47 - Cleghorn Ridge (11/25/2022)
This is a great trail. We ended up skipping about 1/3 the off-shoots, since we've no rock sliders on our vehicle yet, but the choose-your-own-adventure format of this trail is pretty interesting. You won't be able to turn around on pretty much any of the off-shoots though, with the exception of the chute (you can turn around just before going down) so make sure you keep an eye on your track and take the turns you want.
Schnebly Hill Road (11/16/2022)
Nothing difficult on the trail, just constantly rocky on the lower portion. Great views, but overall the trail just became a bit of a slog after a while.
Soldier's Pass Trail (11/15/2022)
Great trail. Because of the permits required, we ended up only seeing two other vehicles while we were out. Difficulty felt spot on with our Defender.
Dry Creek Road (11/14/2022)
This trail is definitely harder than listed, though the ‘gate’ is the most difficult obstacle on the trail, at least for our Defender. Worth stopping at the cabin, as the trail is most interesting there. Lots of hikers on the trail up until the Devils Bridge TH, after that mostly Pink Jeeps.
