Christian, Outdoorsman, Guide, Hunter, Fisherman, BSA Eagle Scout, BSA Scoutmaster, Naval Officer. My outdoor expertise started as a youth, camping in tipis and fishing with family in Northern MI. I have been active in scouting since 1998 when I joined the BSA the year I lived in Idaho. I eventually earned Arrow of Light and rank of Eagle Scout. I lived in Florida for four years, attending Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. While in college I continued scouting, became a member of Alpha Phi Omega Service Fraternity, and was a Midshipman in NROTC. I graduated and commissioned in the US Navy and received orders for Virginia. As a Scouter, I have led as an instructor and counselor for youth and adults in Scout University and Merit Badge University, teaching various advanced skills and merit badges. Recently, in scouting, I led as a Troop Guide for Wood Badge course S7-596-19, am the Scoutmaster for a local troop, and the Rover Scouts Chair (a BSA pilot program for young adults). I work as a government contractor, earned my Master of Divinity at Regent University, and recently started the outdoor guide business, Creative Guiding LLC. Creative Guiding LLC was started "for every person to see the wonder and beauty of “God’s Creation” (nature/creation) leading to the love of creation and one another through a safe, fun, and amazing experience." I look forward to continuing my work in the BSA, working as an outdoor guide, and leading and teaching others to enjoy life in the outdoors.

My Trail Reviews (3)

(within last 6 months)
Old Stage Road (03/28/2023)
Road was clear and seems to get plowed/used frequently. Off shoot trails have some snow pack. A week before there was deeper snow halfway through but nothing extreme. Scenic and nice half day drive.
Boreas Pass (11/02/2022)
Great pass trail. Took the Wilderness OB. No issues. Some hard pack snow in shade and on North face. Went from Come to Breckenridge.
Weston Pass (11/02/2022)
One of my new favorite trails for easy level. Some snow pack in shade and north side. Took our wilderness OB and had no issues. Went from Leadville to Fairplay. I didn't check the harder section out, but plan to with the Tacoma.
