My Trail Reviews (6)

(within last 6 months)
Bunce School Road (04/02/2023)
Trail is open to just past Waypoint 11. About a hundred yards past that, the snow is just impassable. Multiple vehicles stuck trying to traverse it. The rest of the road is very passable and a nice pleasant drive.
Elk Park Road (11/08/2022)
Road is open with a bit of snow/ice. Not bad at all and easily driveable but the ice gets slippery once the sun goes down so be careful.
Mammoth Gulch (11/08/2022)
The top of Mammoth is drifted over as of Nov 8 2022. Not terribly bad and would be easy to bash through with a couple high clearance vehicles but not something you'd want to try on your own.
Bunce School Road (10/29/2022)
Something has happened to Bunce. it is much rockier than normal with more obstacles in the first part than it used to have. I'd say this is moved up to a 3 at least in the first 2 miles or so, turned around right past the end of 105 due to some ice/snow.
Jenny Creek (10/09/2022)
I know this trail hasn't been updated to match the new system, but the "3" rating is way too low. This is easily a 5 rating. Lots of large boulders to navigate/drive over after crossing the creek and navigating through the dead-fall area. Anyone entering this trail thinking it's an easy drive is going to be in for a rude awakening. There aren't any "optional" routes or bypasses. That said, if you go in knowing it's a 5, you'll enjoy it.
Paradise Divide (10/01/2022)
Great loop in the mountains. I would consider the rating to be a but high normally. There's no obstacles but the shelf roads can get tricky, especially when wet. I drove it in the rain/snow/fog and wouldn't want to see inexperienced folks heading up toward Paradise Divide when wet. That said, when dry, I'd say this is a 2 (and perhaps even a 1 but a few narrow shelf road sections could bump it up).
